Crisis Communication Case Analysis: The Boeing 737 Max Crisis
My analysis of the Boeing 737 Max crisis reveals how a defining moment for the aerospace giant compromised its century-long reputation for safety and innovation. The crashes in 2018 and 2019, linked to flaws in the MCAS software, severely damaged public trust and exposed significant failures in Boeing’s issue management and crisis communication. By examining these missteps, I identified apparent gaps where a more proactive and transparent strategy could have mitigated the damage.
